Arkansas Korean War Memorial Offers Website
Little Rock, AR - November 15, 2003 - The ground breaking ceremony for the Arkansas Korean War Memorial was held today, marking the official commencement of its construction at MacArthur Park in downtown Little Rock.
The United States Department of Defense recently marked of the 50th Anniversary of the Korean War, and the State of Arkansas has taken steps to recognize the contributions of its veterans. The memorial will permanently commemorate the sacrifices made by the Arkansan veterans who fought in the war.
The website will expand as the memorial grows, with pictures of the memorial and information on Arkansas veterans, living and deceased, who served in the war. Historical information is provided, as is a contribution form for those wishing to donate money to the memorial's construction.
