Hendrix College Announces Online Donation Website

Conway, AR - November 29, 2001 - Private colleges depend on financial support from their alumni, parents and friends to be successful. The conventional processes by which donations are made can be inconvenient to some, so to make the process as simple and dependable as possible, Hendrix College and Epoch Online are proud to announce the development of an easy-to-use web donation form at http://MakeAGiftNow.Hendrix.edu.

MakeAGiftNow.Hendrix.edu is a simple, one page form that includes a wide array of features. Traditional contact information is augmented by options for tracking "legacy" relations (relatives who are also students/alumni), making dedication gifts, making corporate matching gifts, joining giving societies, and receiving further information regarding long-term financial relationships with the college.

All transactions are made via credit card and are protected through secure Surepay and Verisign e-commerce services. All data is encrypted between the server and the Hendrix Office of Development. Information submitted on the form is for the use of Hendrix College only and will not be shared with any outside individuals.

After just a few weeks of operation, the site has seen significant success. The page has received over 400 hits in just three weeks of operation. Anonymous donors who otherwise might not have given gifts have already made generous donations to the college. Most importantly, though, MakeAGiftNow.Hendrix.edu takes away the hassle and expense of envelopes, stamps, check writing and other "snail mail" concerns, making the job easier and less expensive for the donors as well as the college.

Hendrix is celebrating its 125th year as an educational institution committed to excellence. Founded in 1876 and affiliated with the United Methodist Church since 1884, Hendrix is a residential, undergraduate liberal arts college with an enrollment of about 1,100.
